THE WELL BELIEFS
“In the essentials we need unity, in the non-essentials we need freedom, but in all things we need love.” Rupertus Meldenius
We must always be flexible with our methods, but we must have certain unchanging “non-negotiables” that are in concrete. There will always be peripheral doctrines that Christ-followers disagree upon, but here are the ones we will not sway from.

The Bible is God Inspired - 2 Timothy 3:16,17
The Bible is God’s story and it is flawless in giving us answers to life. The Old and New Testament is given by God for us to study so we can apply its lessons. Scripture is the ultimate authority for life.
There is one true God and Jesus Christ is His Son - John 17:3
There is one all-powerful God that is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He loved us so much that he sent his Son so we can have a relationship with Him. Jesus Christ is fully, 100% God who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, taught truth, died on a cross, and resurrected from the dead. His same healing power is available for us today.
People Sin but God Saves - Romans 6:23
We mess up and the Bible calls it sin. God created us in His own image, but we chose disobedience. We deserve death and separation from God, but by His grace through His son Jesus we can be forgiven. By trusting God as our Lord and Savior, we can experience freedom and live an amazing life. Man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort. We are saved not by good works but by God’s grace as we submit our lives to Him.
The Ordinances - Acts 2:41,42
There are two ways we can remember what Jesus did for us on the cross. Communion is a memorial and a celebration. The Eucharist consists of two elements: the bread helps reminds of His body and the cup reminds of His blood. Secondly, the Bible encourages us to follow His example by being immersed in water soon after we make a decision to follow Him. It is a public way for us to show that we are changed.
Transformation - Romans 12:1,2
It’s okay to not be okay, but it’s not okay to stay there. God wants to change us into the person we were created to be in His image. We stop living for ourselves and start living for God by our actions and words. The internal evidence is a change of heart by the Holy Spirit and the external evidence is the fruit of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit - Acts 1:8
The baptism of the Holy Spirit gives us power to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin. He gives us different gifts so we can build up the church and love others. The gifts of the Spirit demonstrated in an orderly way are a beautiful and vital part of the church.
The Church & its Mission - Ephesians 4:12
The church is filled with authentic Christ followers who follow the New Testament church in its four purposes (celebration, teaching, fellowship, and service). The mission of the church is to be passionate about the name of Jesus and the names of those in our community that don’t know Him. We do this by serving with an authentic love so that people don’t just hear about it but they see it with our actions.
The Return - 1 Thessalonians 4:17
The Bible says that Jesus will return to the earth to bring His followers to Heaven. There will be a final judgment in which the dead will be resurrected and judged. Everyone, whose name is not in the Book of Life, will be separated for eternity in Hell. However, those whose names are written in the Book of Life will be rewarded and spend eternity with other followers of Christ in Heaven.
