Community

You don't have to leave the country to find a mission field.  Right here in our own backyard there are thousands of people who are in need physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Our heartbeat is to not be known for a sign or a building we meet at, but be known for the serving we are doing in our community.  The church doesn’t exist to get but to give ourselves away.  We want to be the church by being the hands and feet of the gospel and loving people so much that it is hard for them to want to reject God’s love.

Instead of creating our own organizations to meet community needs, it is our desire to partner with existing ones to have a greater impact.  Rather than spread everything out, we’re focusing on four strategic community partners that are already knocking it out of the park:

1.  Rogers County Youth Services

We spend time getting to know the teenagers of the shelter by hanging out playing pool or throwing a ball around.  We also jump in and help when opportunities arise to help with fundraising support.

2.  Wood Manor Nursing Home

Once a month on Saturday mornings we spend relational time with the residents playing dominoes, praying over them, or simply being a listening ear.  Once a year we volunteer at annual Valentine Party and Sing Christmas carols during the holidays.  In the past we've also hosted a hot dog grill out feeding anyone willing to take a bite!

 3.  Safenet Services

4.  Blue Star Mother's
